Every night, Spanner and his pocket-sized elephant Timber get ready for bed. Timber’s favorite snack is a little peanut – and when he eats it, he grows big! Not too big, just big enough to reach the windowsill. Tonight, the stars look sleepy and can’t twinkle properly. So Timber eats his peanut, grows up, and uses his long trunk to tickle the stars. One by one, they giggle and start twinkling again. Then Timber takes another tiny bite of peanut and shrinks back to pocket size. He curls up in Spanner’s bed, and they sleep under the bright, twinkling sky.
